Alton Manufacturing has the capabilities to work with aluminum, stainless steel, cold rolled steel, carbon steel, brass, bronze, nickel alloys, lead, and plastics. 

Alton Manufacturing has 150,000 square feet of climate controlled space located just west of downtown Rochester, NY.

We continuously work to review and improve our practices in an effort to continue to lead the way in quality control.  Alton Manufacturing has become one of the first machine shops in Rochester to achieve the ISO 9001:2015 certification.  

Our CNC machining centers are capable of fulfilling a full range of requirements from low quantity prototypes through high volume production demands. The flexibility of our CNC equipment permits us to customize our programming, optimize set-ups and reduce cycle-times. Our state of the art equipment consistently produces high quality, cost effective parts on demand. All machining operations are performed utilizing certified processes and are monitored by statistical process control.  Our Engineers and Model Makers are routinely teamed up in our Sheet Metal Fabrication Department. This area offers the best in latest equipment and technology. The development and prototype activity performed here provides our customers with solutions to any issues relative to product manufacturing. 

Our assembly department is staffed by trained skilled personnel. Utilizing our fully integrated MRP system, we accurately control work flow as well as components inventory throughout the entire supply chain.  Alton Manufacturing incorporates the use of dedicated work areas and flexible cells which are used for low and high volume production runs.  Our in-process mechanical and electrical testing and inspection capabilities allow us to consistently meet the most rigorous standards relative to quality and reliability.   

Alton Manufacturing outsources firearm barrel drilling, castings, plating and painting, castings, raw materials, optics, some hardware, and circuitry.
